Healing Hearts Wellness Retreat is a nurturing space for moms who are navigating the challenges of having a loved one with substance use disorder.
This retreat is focused on fostering stronger connections—both with yourself and your loved one. Retreat attendees will learn how to:
Deepen relationships with loved ones through new communication tools that create an understanding of others’ struggles, and healthier, more supportive interactions that bring you closer.
Strengthen your bond with others. By sharing experiences with other moms who understand your journey, attendees can offer and receive support and encouragement in a safe and compassionate environment.
Create positive changes. Our goal is that attendees will leave the retreat with a renewed sense of hope, knowing that even small steps forward can lead to profound shifts in your relationships and foster positive changes in addiction.
Hi, I'm Joanne Feist, a proud mom of two, happily married, and part of a very tight-knit crew. We’re all about making memories—family holidays, beach time, and yearly girls’ trips with my mom, sisters, and nieces. When my Dad was alive, Sunday dinners were a staple, and Hawaii was our favorite family vacation spot—it was his happy place, and it’s become one of mine too. I love to travel and explore, but I’m also just as happy with my toes in the sand, soaking up the peace of the beach.
In recent years, my heart has been called in a new direction. After walking through the pain and uncertainty of addiction with my loved one, I was determined to find a different way—something that truly helped. What we were doing wasn’t working. Then I discovered the Invitation to Change and craft approach, and it changed everything. It’s a compassionate, evidence-based method for supporting a loved one through substance use—without losing yourself in the process.
That experience lit a fire in me to complete certification courses and dedicate myself to helping other families navigate their own path through the heartache and complexity of addiction. This work is deeply personal to me—it’s not just what I do, it’s who I’ve become. And none of it would be possible without the unwavering support of my family. Through it all, they showed up for me and my loved one with love, strength, and presence—and I believe having that kind of support makes all the difference. My Mom is a big a supporter of what I do. She comes to all my support groups just to be there with me. She will also attend some of my retreats. I can always count on my Mom
Growing up, my Dad encouraged me to start a career in real estate. When I turned 18, that’s exactly what I did. I’ve loved building my career around helping people feel at home. Real estate is truly a family affair for us. I work alongside my niece as a team, her dad also sells real estate, and my oldest sister is a mortgage broker—now her daughter is following in her footsteps in the mortgage world too. My middle sister (I'm the youngest of three) helps us all stay organized and on top of our paperwork. We're always talking, always working together—it’s a beautiful thing to be part of such a close and connected family.
One of the most meaningful places in my life is our family cabin in the mountains. We bought it a few years ago, and it’s become our safe haven. My kids absolutely love it there—it gives them a sense of calm and peace. I’ve even had friends say it feels like the cabin has healing powers. My Dad loved spending time there, and we feel his presence every time we’re up in the mountains. Whether it’s snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, paddle boarding, or just being still—it’s where we go to breathe. And wherever I go, my dog Buck is right there with me—even at work. He’s my sidekick and everyone who meets him loves him.
Thanks for being here. Whether you're looking for support, real estate guidance, or just curious about my journey—welcome. I’m so glad you found your way here.
